Anonymask

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026 · Anonymask for iOS, published by Epika Labs

The short version: Anonymask collects nothing. It has no account, no servers, no analytics and no network requests. Everything it does happens on your iPhone, and nothing you record is ever sent to us or to anyone else.

What the app uses on your device

Clips you record are kept in the app's temporary storage on your device while the app is open. They are removed when you delete them in the app, and any left over are removed the next time the app starts. Temporary copies made while saving a video to Photos are deleted as soon as the save finishes.

Face data and the TrueDepth camera

Anonymask uses Apple's ARKit face tracking, which relies on the front TrueDepth camera, to place a mask over your face. This section explains exactly what that involves.

What we do not collect

We do not collect, store or receive any personal data. There is no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting service and no tracking of any kind. We cannot see your videos, your face or your voice, and we have no copy of anything you make.

Sharing

Because we receive no data, we share none. If you share a video from Photos to another app or service, that service's own privacy terms apply to what you post.

Deleting your data

All data lives on your device. Delete clips inside the app, remove saved videos from Photos, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Camera, microphone and Photos permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.

Children

Anonymask is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data. It collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a future version of the app ever needs to collect data, that will be stated here and shown in the app before it applies.
