AnonymaskTerms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Anonymask app. By downloading or using it you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where the two differ, these terms add to it rather than replace it.
The app
Anonymask lets you record video with a digital mask over your face and an optional change to your voice. It runs entirely on your device and needs an iPhone with a TrueDepth front camera.
What masking does and does not do
Anonymask is built to keep your face and voice out of the videos you post, and it does that well in ordinary use. It is not a guarantee of anonymity. Face tracking can briefly lose your face, for example when you turn quickly, move out of frame or cover the camera. A changed voice may still be recognisable to people who know you, and it is not designed to defeat forensic voice analysis. Your surroundings, clothing, other sounds and what you say can also identify you. Always watch a clip before you post it.
Your content and your responsibility
You own the videos you make. We never receive them. You are responsible for what you record and share, and for having the right to record the people and places in it. Do not use Anonymask to impersonate someone, to harass, threaten or deceive people, to evade law enforcement, or for anything unlawful.
Licence
Epika Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free or suited to a particular purpose. Keep copies of videos that matter to you; clips that have not been saved to Photos are removed when the app is closed and restarted, and can be lost if the app is deleted or iOS clears temporary storage.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Epika Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of content, or for any harm that results from a person being identified in a video you chose to record or share. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. The current terms will always be at this address with their effective date. You can stop using Anonymask at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any consumer protection rights you have where you live.
